  1. The teacher to student ratio is 1:6. Alfred’s Maths Tutoring reserves the right to accept or reject students in order to meet the maximum requirements.

  2. All fees must be received in full before students receive a final confirmation of placement.

Absentee Students

  1. If you are unable to attend a session or class due to any reason, you must inform us in writing as soon as possible, providing the reason for your absence.

Makeup Lesson for Absentee Students

  1. Students who miss a regularly scheduled class due to a valid reason (such as illness, family emergency, etc.) are eligible for a maximum of two (2) makeup lessons per term.

  2. Makeup lessons will be organised during school holidays only.

  3. If a student cannot attend the scheduled makeup lesson during the holiday period, the opportunity will be forfeited.

  4. Once a makeup lesson is booked, it cannot be cancelled. If the lesson is cancelled, it will be forfeited, and no further makeup lesson will be provided.

  5. Makeup lessons may be conducted in mixed groups with different grades.

Online Attendance Option & Lesson Note Provision for Absentees

  1. If a student cannot attend a face-to-face class, they can join online by notifying the instructor in advance to receive the link.

  2. Students who miss a class will be provided with lesson notes.

  3. Students are responsible for catching up on missed lessons using the notes.

  4. Lesson notes are for personal use only and cannot be shared or reproduced.

  5. The instructor is not responsible for misunderstandings from reviewing the notes.

  6. This policy can be modified or cancelled without prior notice.

  7. Reviewing lesson notes alone may not ensure full comprehension of the material.

  8. The centre is not responsible for any consequences from the student's absence or failure to catch up.

  9. By attending the class, students agree to these terms and conditions.

 10. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of enrolment.

Private Lesson
A private lesson refers to one-on-one tutoring between the student and the instructor. These lessons are tailored specifically to the student’s needs and allow for focused, individualised attention on areas where the student requires additional support. Private lessons provide the flexibility to cover specific topics at the student’s pace, ensuring personalised learning outcomes.

Private Lesson Cancellation Policy

  1. A 24-hour notice is required for any cancellation of private lessons.

  2. If less than 24 hours' notice is given, the lesson will be charged in full and cannot be rescheduled.

  3. If the cancellation is made at least one day (24 hours) before the lesson, we will reschedule the lesson for a later date at no additional charge.

Termination

  1. All parents/guardians are required to give two (2) weeks advance written notice to Alfred’s Maths Tutoring and fill up the withdrawal form if they wish to terminate our service.
